The ceasefire is very tenuous. The situation in Gaza is what many of us thought it would be.

Hamas almost immediately violated the agreement, will not disarm and has made it clear that it will remain in Gaza.

Trump has, of course, said this won’t happen even if Hamas must be forcibly removed. For him the war may “be over,” but for Israel and diaspora Jews, it’s just intermission.
