Audio letter from Mehrab Abdollahzadeh, a political prisoner sentenced to death:
They themselves know that I am innocent

Mehrab Abdollahzadeh, a political prisoner sentenced to death, has released an audio letter, referring to the case being prepared against him, saying that he is innocent and that the family of the person whose murder he is accused of also knows his innocence.

This political prisoner sentenced to death said in his letter:
"I have been under a death sentence for 42 months. A sentence that even if you throw a stone at it, it will melt. A person sentenced to death thinks every night and every day that they could call him at any moment and take him away to be executed."

Mehrab Abdollahzadeh mentioned in this letter:
“While you know that I am completely innocent and the family of the plaintiff also believes that I am innocent, my family has gone several times to obtain consent for a crime in which I had no role, in order to remove the noose from my neck. Although the family of the plaintiff has repeatedly verbally stated that they will consent, they are threatened behind the scenes by the Urmia Revolutionary Guards and are forced to refuse to consent. What personal enmity do you have with me? Why did you easily create a case for me?”

Two days ago, the Supreme Court rejected the request for a retrial of this political prisoner. According to the court, this political prisoner was sentenced to death on charges of corruption on earth, even though the case was originally opened against him on charges of premeditated murder and he was never convicted of this charge.
