At least 10 Kurdish civilians wounded by ongoing Turkish attacks in Cizre

ast night’s artillery attack by Turkish forces on Şırnak’s Cizre district wounded at least 10 Kurdish civilians in a house in Cudi neighborhood. The wounded cannot be taken to hospital due to ongoing gunfire.

As genocidal attacks by state forces in Cizre left 40 days behind , Cudi and Sur neighborhoods, both of which are protected by popular resistance, remain under an uninterrupted tank fire since last night. A cannon shell fired by Turkish forces hit a house where 15 people were taking shelter, including Cizre People’s Council co-chair, which left at last 10 of them wounded. While DBP Assembly member Mehmet Yavuzel is in life-threatening condition, the wounded couldn’t be taken to hospital yet due to the ongoing heavy bombardment.

While the aggression also hit and demolished many other houses, it is reported that the attack might have resulted in further casualties in other houses targeted since last night.
