HPG guerrillas have retrieved the body of the civilian killed in the bombardment of the Turkish jets on the countryside of Suncê village, South Kurdistan three days ago.


Turkish military carried out a bombardment on the countryside of Suncê village in Amadia district of Duhok province, South Kurdistan on May 3rd. The attack left one villager dead and another wounded.
While the injured villager was treated by HPG guerrillas yesterday, body of the slain civilian remained at the scene since as locals trying to get to the scene to reach the slain and injured villagers were targeted by Turkish soldiers with artillery attacks.
HPG guerrillas have today retrieved the body of slain villager amid continued howitzer and mortar attacks of Turkish troops. Guerrillas handed over the man's body to his relatives. Hundreds of locals from Suncê village and surroundings were there to receive the body from the guerrillas.
Speaking here, brother of the slain civilian said: "Guerrillas told us that they would go there and retrieve the body even if it cost them lives of 20 guerrillas. They said he was a martyr of theirs. I thank the guerrillas for giving my brother's body to us."
The slain civilian was later taken to Sheladize town with a long convoy of hundreds of cars joining the funeral procession.
