🪖🇦🇷 The Argentine Army has begun deploying armored vehicles and other military assets to Rio Grande do Sul, where it will participate in the Arandú 2026 Combined Exercise alongside the Brazilian Army.
🚆 The equipment being sent includes recently modernized TAM 2C-A2 tanks and 8x8 Stryker armored vehicles, which are part of Argentina's new mechanized capability. The vehicles began gathering in Zárate, in the province of Buenos Aires, from where they are being transported by rail toward Brazil.
🔥 The exercise will take place in Santa Maria and Rosário do Sul, in Rio Grande do Sul, bringing together cavalry, infantry, aviation, and special operations units from both countries.
🇦🇷⚔️🇧🇷 The 2026 edition also marks a milestone for the TAM 2C-A2s, making their first international deployment since their modernization. It is also the first time the Strykers are participating in a combined exercise with a foreign force.
🤝 According to the Argentine Armed Forces, the goal of Arandú is to enhance interoperability, joint training, and operational coordination between the two armies. An image shared on social media shows helicopters flying over an area near the Brazil-Peru border. The post drew attention due to the aircraft's presence in the region, but the image alone does not confirm the helicopters' origin, the mission being carried out, or the reason for the flight. The Amazon region has been the site of security operations and joint exercises between nations. In September, the Federal Police announced integrated actions with Peruvian authorities at the border, utilizing both aerial and riverine assets. However, this does not confirm that the helicopters in the video belong to the United States or that they are linked to these operations.
