Security sources in Deir ez-Zor province confirmed the success of a swift security operation that resulted in the rescue of a woman who appeared in a video being held at gunpoint inside a house. The video had circulated widely in recent hours.

According to reports, the competent security authorities were able to pinpoint the woman's exact location within minutes of the video's release. A rapid intervention was immediately launched, resulting in her release and ensuring her complete safety.

Despite the kidnapper's attempt to flee the house after being exposed, security patrols pursued and successfully apprehended him. Initial investigations indicate that the woman had been subjected to extortion by the perpetrator. After securing her safety, she filed an official complaint against him, and legal proceedings have commenced.
