Intense clashes continue in some territories around Tabqa town of Raqqa province.
In three territories around Tabqa and Safsafah Village to the east of town, there are intense clashes between Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters and ISIS gangs. At least 20 gang members have been killed in the clashes.

ISIS gangs are trapped in villages by the Euphrates Dam and are attempting attacks to save themselves from the siege.

This morning at 05.30, ISIS gangs attacked Safsafah Village from the Raqqa side with heavy weapons. Clashes continue in all intensity in the village 4 km to the east of Tabqa. There is no concrete information on the outcome of the clashes yet.

The clashes that started last night in Tabqa’s Hey Ewwel and Tanî û Salis territories continued throughout the night. At least 20 gang members have been killed.

1 Hummer armored vehicle, 1 Reo military vehicle, 1 Ford pick-up truck, 1 B-7 LAW, 1 120 mm mortar and its ramp, 1 Kalashnikov, 4 boxes of Kalashnikov rounds, 1 Katyusha rocket launcher and 76 rockets, 2 handmade assassin’s rifle (one of them 23 mm), 2 mortar scope and 2 mortar scale, 100 Howitzer rounds, 1 sack of mortar capsules, 1 Sony brand video camera, 1 laptop computer, 1 telephone and some gang documents were seized by the fighters in these clashes.

Tabqa city center had been cleared of ISIS gangs yesterday. The operation in the periphery and the Tabqa dam continue still.
