We strongly condemn the execution of Navid Afkari.
The Iranian terror regime executed a sportsman a few days ago. Right now, the Iranian Islamic fascist regime has proven to the outside world that a major threat to humanity, a few days ago the Iranian Islamic fascist dictatorial regime executed Navid Afkari,
Iran Regime’s Brazen Reaction To German Ambassador.
The Iranian regime summoned and warned Mr. Hans Udo-Muzel, Germany’s ambassador to Iran, for his condemnation of the execution of Iranian wrestling champion Navid Afkari.
The state-run IRNA news agency reported on Monday that Germany’s ambassador was summoned by the Director General of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The international community’s failure in holding the Iranian regime to account for its increasing human rights violations and oppression of any opposition voice is construed by the mullahs’ regime as a green light to continue its killing spree. The execution of Navid Afkari, which happened despite international outcries, indicates that the mullahs need executions to ensure their survival and how ignoring human rights violations in Iran has emboldened the regime.
“According to IRNA, reports from the General Directorate of Information and spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director General of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered the illegal action of the German Embassy in Tehran as interference in the internal affairs of our country and strongly condemned it. The Director-General of European Affairs stated that interference in the laws, regulations, and judicial procedures of the independent Republic of Iran is not acceptable and tolerable in any way, and the German Embassy is expected to recognize the limits of its diplomatic duties and not go beyond it. The German ambassador said he would reflect this issue to his country,” read IRNA’s report.
This action shows how European countries’ appeasement policy toward the regime has emboldened the mullahs to act with total brazenness. The clerical regime is telling the German ambassador that they would not tolerate the slightest criticism of the brutal execution of Navid Afkari, but the question is how Europe and Germany have endured and tolerated more than forty years of atrocities by the regime.
In the summer of 1988, the Iranian regime executed over 30,000 political prisoners. Some 32 years later, despite thousands of undeniable pieces of evidence and testimonies by survivors of this heinous crime, the international community has failed to hold the regime to account for this crime against humanity.
This inaction has provided the regime with impunity over its crimes. The killing of 1,500 protests during the major Iran protests in November, and now the execution of Navid Afkari, show how the mullahs have been enjoying this impunity to hold their grip on power by oppressing Iranian people.
In this regard, Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said: “Iran’s regime executed Navid Afkari without informing his mother and deprived her of a last meeting with her son! They now want to bury him secretly and futilely try to evade the people’s fury. They will soon hear protests in Tehran! The mullahs are out of time and have nowhere to go. To Chancellor Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson: If Europe had condemned Navid’s death sentence, he might’ve been alive today. Iranian people await strong measures. Don’t sacrifice human rights for the sake of trade with a collapsing regime.”
As NCRI’s President-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi said after Navid’s execution: “The religious fascism ruling Iran cannot survive a day without executions, torture and domestic suppression. By spilling the blood of young people like Navid Afkari, the mullahs are seeking to maintain their hold on power in the face of Iran protests. The United Nations Security Council and its member states, the UN Human Rights Council, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the European Union and all international human rights authorities need to take practical, effective measures against the regime in Iran for the execution of Navid Afkari and 120,000 others executed on political grounds. Silence and inaction give a green light to and are construed as complicity in these crimes.”
