Bloody Secrets: The 1988 Massacre in iran - an ongoing crime against humanity

Between August and September 1988, Iranian authorities forcibly disappeared thousands of imprisoned political dissidents and secretly executed them in extrajudicial proceedings, burying their bodies mostly in mass graves. Since then, Iranian officials have considered the 1988 massacre one of the "secrets of the regime" and have kept the relatives of the victims suffering and have not told them why and how their loved ones were killed and where they were buried. No officials have been prosecuted, and in some cases, those involved in the killings have held or hold influential positions in Iran.

In 1988, at the behest of the superstitious religious fascist Khomeini, 30,000 people were massacred in Iran.
