Iraqi security forces on Friday seized a rocket launcher ready to target Baghdad.

A security source told Al-Sumaria News Network that security forces discovered and confiscated a rocket launcher that was ready to target specific locations near the Hay al-Jihad area in southwestern Baghdad.

He added that the platform was separated without any incident and the missiles (three Katyusha missiles) were removed from it.

The Baghdad Operations Headquarters explained that Iraqi security forces thwarted an attempt to target a key base in Baghdad with a Katyusha missile.
