Mojgan Kavousi has gone on a limited hunger strike

Mojgan Kavousi, a Kurdish writer and researcher, has gone on a hunger strike to protest the treatment of prisoners by the authorities of the Islamic Republic and the judiciary.

According to Avatoudi, Mojgan Kavousi, a political prisoner in the women's ward of Evin Prison, has been on a limited hunger strike since Sunday, May 16th.

news agency has confirmed this news, quoting informed sources.

Ms. Kavousi's objection is to the judges' tasteless and unruly treatment of prisoners on leave under the Judiciary's decision on the fourth corona courier.

Some prisoners, including Mojgan Kavousi, do not benefit from leave, while it is not possible to meet in person in coronary conditions.

On Thursday, November 29, 2019, this author and activist was transferred to the Revolutionary Court of Nowshahr and the court sentenced him to 6 months in prison. After the court ruling, he was temporarily released on 100 million Tomans bail.

On Monday, October 23, 2019, the repressive agents of the Islamic Republic raided the house of this Kurdish writer and arrested him without providing legal permission.

According to previous reports, the prisoner went on a hunger strike in August 2020, and as a result, under conditions of imprisonment, his illnesses, including diabetes and heart disease, intensified, raising concerns about his current state of hunger strike.
