Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with German Foreign Minister Haiku Moss an hour ago at the Kyria complex in Tel Aviv.
Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu showed the German minister the parts of the Iranian drone that were identified two days ago and intercepted in the east of the country, and said: "Iran provides them with the infrastructure used by terrorist groups."
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Netanyahu said: "I had a very useful conversation with the German Minister, Mr. Moss. I thanked him for Germany's unwavering support for our right to self-defense. This was a heartfelt position, and I say this not only on behalf of the State of Israel, but on behalf of the entire nation of Israel. We thank you.
During our meeting, I explained that while we are fighting on different fronts, there is someone behind many of Iran's attacks. Iran not only fully supports Islamic Jihad and provides all its financial resources, but also provides weapons to Hamas and Hezbollah.
Iran provides them with the infrastructure used by terrorist groups.
While we are fighting, a few days ago Iran sent an armed drone from Iraq or Syria to Israel. Iranian forces sent an armed drone to Israel and our forces intercepted it on the Israeli-Jordanian border. I think this incident clearly shows who is the real godfather of terror in the Middle East and the world - Iran.
Mr. Moss, thank you. You are a true friend and this is said to you by all the people of Israel with respect. Thank you for coming here at this critical time. Thank you for your strong and unwavering support.
German Foreign Minister Haiku Moss told the prime minister that he had come to Israel to express Germany's full sympathy for the Israeli people. The minister told the prime minister that Germany condemned the attacks by Hamas, which was responsible for escalating the situation, and that Israel had the right to defend itself.
