German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said during her visit to Turkey, "A new military operation in Syria will be in the interest of ISIS."

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock visited Ankara and met with her Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. After the meeting, the two ministers appeared in front of the cameras and Annalena Baerbock expressed her country's displeasure regarding Turkey's operation against western Kurdistan.

Baerbock stated that, "A new military operation in Syria will cause more damage to civilians and will cause conflicts that organizations like ISIS will benefit from."

Çavuşoğlu also announced that 25 of their soldiers lost their lives as a result of YPG attacks in the last two years, and he also criticized Germany for not supporting them in the fight against terrorism
