The Iranian regime has made a dangerous plan against the Kurdish leaders. The UN should take action to protect Kurdish political refugees in Northern Iraq.

َAccording to Iraqi law, if you are in the country for more than five years, you automatically become an Iraqi citizen. The so-called revoked passports of Kurdish leaders this was arranged by the Iranian regime that demanded Iraq to do so, according to UNHCR they are legal refugees because we call on international human rights to protect all Kurdish refugees in Iraq

The occupying Iraqi government has canceled the passports of a number of leaders and members of the opposition parties in Eastern #Kurdistan.

According to a letter issued on March 28, 2024 (July 9, 1403) signed by Majid Adnan, Director of Passport Affairs of the occupying Iraqi Interior Ministry, the passports of seven Kurdish opposition figures of Iran has been nullified.

The Director of Passport Affairs of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior has decided to take the holder of the passports to the nearest police station.

Among those named in the letter is Mustafa Hijri (pictured on page 2), secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran

According to Iraqi media, "after the work of the joint Iraqi-Iranian security committee, the Iraqi government canceled the passports.
