"Sahar Mehdi", 32, from Saqqez, was arrested by the Intelligence Department forces and transferred to an unknown location and has been charged with "espionage".

 

According to Kargar News on Thursday, 17th of Farvardin 1405, Sahar Mehdi was arrested without a judicial warrant and transferred to a security detention center following a raid by the Intelligence Department forces on her family home in Saqqez.

According to information received, during this operation, security forces entered the citizen's residence without any judicial authorization and after arresting her, they transferred her to an unknown location. So far, there is no information about her condition and where she is being held.

According to a source close to the family, security agencies have accused this citizen of "espionage" and a two-month detention order has been issued for her.

Reports also indicate that government institutions have linked this accusation to the political activities of Sahar Mehdi's brother, who is a member of the Kurdistan Political Party (KPP), and have justified his arrest based on this connection.
