Those who cheered Trump and the bombings should think again. The people of Iran have weakened the regime far more than U.S. bombs ever have. The Islamic regime in Tehran has never feared U.S. bombs—it fears the people’s anger. The new agreement with the U.S. gives the regime more room for repression, executions, and terror against its own people. Trump—and countries that put their own economic and geopolitical interests ahead of human rights—cannot be trusted.
