With the declaration of a ceasefire in the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, a new wave of repression of arrests, persecutions and executions has begun in Kurdistan and throughout Iran by the Islamic Republic. The security agencies have created a dangerous situation for political prisoners critical of the government by making unjustified charges and prosecuting political prisoners, as well as reviewing the espionage law in parliament and the regime's judiciary.

According to reports, the number of detainees has exceeded 1,000 and the execution of political prisoners continues to increase. Idris Ali, Azad Shojaei and Rasul Ahmad, three Kurdish peasants who were accused of collaborating with Israel, were executed a few days ago. The lives of several other Kurdish prisoners from Bokan who were arrested and sentenced to death three years ago are still in danger.

Whenever the Islamic Republic of Iran has failed in a foreign war or an international issue, it has taken revenge on the people's rights movement inside the country.
