Russia says it has expelled diplomats from Germany, Sweden and Poland for allegedly protesting the release of Alexei Navalny. The move was met with protests from German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

 


Russia says it has expelled diplomats from Germany, Sweden and Poland for allegedly protesting the release of Alexei Navalny. The move was met with protests from German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

French President Emmanuel Macron also strongly condemned Moscow's behavior, from poisoning to imprisoning Alexei Navalny and expelling several diplomats.

Poland also summoned Russia's ambassador to Poland over the expulsion of a Polish diplomat.
