Misogyny is ingrained in the minds of Muslims and should be introduced as anti-religion in the world.

After the Taliban government imposed strict restrictions on women's education in Afghanistan, a major crackdown has also been launched against online educators. The Taliban have publicly flogged a female teacher for allegedly providing education to women and girls through online classes. The incident has drawn strong reactions from human rights organizations around the world.

Yet another woman is the victim of violence. A serious matter that cannot be ignored or justified in any way.

In a constitutional state, there are no cultural, religious, or ideological excuses for anyone who attacks a woman. Those who commit such acts must be held accountable for their actions before the law, without exception or extenuating circumstances.

Too often, for fear of appearing "intolerant," we avoid addressing the problem when certain conceptions of women conflict with the values of freedom, equality, and dignity that are intrinsic to our society. Defending women's rights means having the courage to denounce any form of violence and subjugation, regardless of its origin.

Women's safety comes first. We need clear penalties, concrete protection for victims, and absolute respect for Italian law. Civilization is also measured by this: the ability to protect those who suffer violence and punish those who commit it.
