 According to a report received by Hengaw, on the afternoon of Friday, 13 March 2026, one of the Khabat Organization of Iranian Kurdistan’s headquarters in Hewler and two bases of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan in Koye were targeted in drone attacks.

Hengaw has learned that two Peshmerga of the Khabat Organization lost their lives. Additionally, several Peshmerga from these two parties were injured.

Images belong to Eghbal Salehi from Saqqez and Fakhruddin Moradi from Sanandaj (Sineh), two Peshmerga of the Khabat Organization of Iranian Kurdistan, also known as Khabat (Kurdish for "struggle"), who were killed during drone attacks on the party’s headquarters near the city of Hewler (Erbil), the capital of the Kurdistan Regional Government.

The Khabat Organization, one of the member parties of the Iranian Kurdistan parties coalition, stated in a press release that four other Peshmerga of the party were also injured in the attack.

On the afternoon of Friday, 13 March 2026, the Khabat Organization’s headquarters in the Bashik Heights were targeted by drone strikes carried out by proxy forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iraq.

Human rights groups Hengaw reported the attacks, which
