21 gang members killed after attacking humanitarian corridor in Sinjar.

21 gang members were killed in clashes between fighters of the Sinjar Resistance Units and ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham) groups in Sinjar.


According to the information given by Sinjar Resistance Units (YBS) who have formed a joint front of defence against jihadist gangs, ISIS militants attacked the humanitarian corridor opened by Kurdish forces for a safe evacuation of the people from Sinjar region to Rojava, West Kurdistan.
Clashes broke out after Kurdish fighters strongly responded to the attack on 14 August. At least 21 members of the gang groups were killed in clashes that lasted till 15 August evening. 3 Kurdish fighters also lost their life in clashes in the region.
The response of YBS forces forced ISIS gangs to withdraw from the area.
