Pressures Increased on Civil Activists in Diwandareh
The security institutions have increased the pressures on civil activists in Diwandareh during the past few weeks.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that, following the new wave of pressures on civil activists in Diwandareh, two other civil activists, Amir Mohammad khani and Hiwa Qoreishi have been telephone summoned and threatened by Diwandareh intelligence Bureau in addition to the two teachers, Omid Shah Mohammadi and Hamed Nargesi who have been detained earlier.
A civilian resident of Diwandareh has told KHRN that, following the arrest of two teachers from Diwandeh, Omid Shahmohammadi and Hamed Nargesi, several other civil activists had been summoned to the intelligence Bureau through a telephone call. Interrogators have threatened these activists that they would end up like the fate of the two detained teachers if they continued their guilds activities.
Omid Shahmohammadi and Hamed Nargsi were arrested by the IRGC Intelligence Bureau on November 12 and 21 respectively, following the second round of teachers’ sit-in across the country, and they were transferred to the IRGC detention centre in Sanandaj.
