On the sixth night of the protests against the lack of water in Khuzestan, on Tuesday night the people of Ahvaz, Izeh, Susangard, Shushtar, Khorramshahr, Abadan, Behbahan, Ramshir, Weiss, Darkhovin, Mahshahr, and parts of Dezful demonstrated and at least two protesters were killed in Izeh. The death toll from the water shortage protests in Khuzestan has risen to five.

 

At least two young protesters, Hadi Bahmani and Mohammad Abdullahi, were shot dead by security forces during protests in Izeh on Tuesday night.

 

Another protester was reported killed in Izeh, but Iran International has not yet been able to independently confirm the news.

 

Local sources in Izeh said that a number of protesters who were shot by police and security forces during Tuesday night protests in the city did not go to the hospital due to concerns about detention and had no place to seek treatment.

 

The video received by Iran International also shows the chaotic situation of Izeh Hospital following the attack of a group of protesters by the agents.

 

In addition to at least two people killed in Izeh, Mohammad Krushat, a young man from Ahvaz's Alavi dormitory, who was shot and wounded during protests on Monday night, died at a hospital on Tuesday, July 20th.

 

Earlier, Mustafa Naimavi was killed by security forces during the protests in Shadegan and Qassem Khediri in the protests in the Kantex neighborhood of Ahvaz.

 

So far, at least five young protesters in Shadegan, Ahvaz and Izeh have been shot dead by security and police forces during six nights of water shortage protests.
