The arms shipment of the Islamic Republic to Yemen was seized by the United States

A large consignment of weapons carrying two ships bound for Yemen has been seized off the coast of Somalia, the US Navy said on Wednesday.

The U.S. Navy says that among the weapons used by the destroyer Winston S. Churchill discovered and confiscated thousands of rifles in the Indian Ocean, including Kalashnikovs, light machine guns, heavy sniper rifles, rocket launchers and more.

A short video released by the US Navy shows US sailors inspecting one of two intercepted weapons ships as helicopters flew over them. Video footage shows some of the smuggled weapons, such as new Kalashnikovs wrapped in plastic and a host of rocket-propelled grenade launchers.
