🔸Several Kurdish groups from eastern Kurdistan based in Kurdistan announced on March 23 that they had formed a political coalition with the aim of overthrowing the Islamic Republic and ultimately achieving Kurdish autonomy.
🔸According to AFP, five exiled groups announced that they had formed a coalition to “affirm their presence in the current political situation in Iran, where the Islamic Republic regime has lost all its political legitimacy but remains in power.”
🔸A joint statement by the “Coalition of Political Forces in Iranian Kurdistan” stated that they support the anti-government protests in Iran and stressed the need for “coordinated and joint political and field efforts” between Kurdish parties, civil society, and opposition groups across Iran.

🔸The members of this coalition are: Kurdistan Freedom Party (Pak), Komala of the Working People of Kurdistan, Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK), Democratic Party of Iran Kurdistan and the Iranian Kurdistan Khabat Organization.
🔸The Komala Party of Iran Kurdistan has announced that it will not participate in this coalition, including by issuing a statement, with the objection that the coalition plan is "very general and open to interpretation and its specific content and political orientations are not clear."
