In Kurdish cities in Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is changing its tactics by wearing Kurdistan Peshmerga uniforms to disguise themselves following heavy U.S. and Israeli bombardment.
Military personnel from Iran’s Border Guard Regiment and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Qasr-e Shirin have reportedly been moving around the area wearing uniforms resembling those of Kurdistan Peshmerga fighters.
According to information obtained by Hengaw, on Thursday, March 4, 2026 (14 Esfand 1404), several members of the Iranian Border Guard and IRGC forces in the city of Qasr-e Shirin, located in Kermanshah Province, were observed patrolling the city while armed and dressed in uniforms resembling those used by Kurdish Peshmerga parties.
An eyewitness told Hengaw that these individuals—identified as members of the Border Guard and the IRGC—began appearing in the city Qasr-e Shirin Border Guard headquarters was targetwearing Kurdish clothing and carrying weapons after theed by Israeli and U.S. fighter jets.
