According to information received by Tel Aviv Tehran, a source close to the Islamic Republic government claims that a secret meeting was held between Masoud Pezzekian and a number of IRGC members following a disagreement over how to report Mojtaba’s death.

According to this source, during this meeting, tensions escalated to the point of Pezzekian being threatened with a weapon, and then decisions were made to manage the narrative of the issue.
