China is making progress in terms of technology and missiles. The Chinese Navy announced on Monday, July 6, that it successfully conducted a missile launch test in the Pacific Ocean, which came after regional countries warned about Beijing's plan to test an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Wang Xuemeng, a spokesman for the Chinese Navy, said in a statement published on the force's official account on the "WeChat" messenger that at 12:01 p.m., a strategic nuclear submarine belonging to the People's Liberation Army Navy fired a strategic missile carrying a training warhead into the open waters of the Pacific Ocean, which landed accurately in the designated area.
Xinhua News Agency also announced that the test was a "routine" measure within the framework of China's annual exercises and that relevant countries had been informed in advance.
Japan's request to China not to carry out this measure
On the other hand, Japan strongly urged China to refrain from carrying out this missile test in the Pacific Ocean; The move came after Beijing's announcement, although Tokyo had been informed of the test in advance.
A joint statement from several Japanese ministries, including the Defense and Foreign Ministries, said Japan "strongly requested that the test launch of this ballistic missile be reviewed to ensure that it does not pose a threat to the country's security, particularly in its airspace."
Meanwhile, Australian media reported that China is planning to test a nuclear-capable ballistic missile with a dummy warhead in the South Pacific within the next 24 hours, and regional diplomats have been informed.
According to Reuters, the test comes as Australia and Fiji recently signed a major defense agreement that commits each side to providing assistance if the other is attacked.
