Ehmedî: Kobanê attacks are part of general plan against Kurds

The chair of the Party of Free Life of Kurdistan (Partiya Jiyana Azad a Kurdistanê, PJAK) in East Kurdistan, Haci Ehmedî, said the attacks on Kobanê are part of a general plan aiming at annihilation of the political power of the Kurds. Criticizing the KDP for acting under the policies of Turkey, Ehmedî said the Kurds must immediately gather around a national congress.

Speaking to ANF, PJAK co-chair Haci Ehmedî said the attacks of ISIS on Sinjar and Kobanê are part of an international plan led by Turkey. Ehmedî stressed that ISIS was first formed by the USA to create a Sunni-Shia conflict, but later gained independence from US influence and became an organisation fighting against Kurdish people in Rojava under the direction of Turkey.
Stressing that the only force in the region fighting against ISIS is the PKK, Ehmedî said despite the whole world seeming to be against ISIS, none of the world powers had helped Kobanê. Ehmedî also drew attention to the lack of national unity amongst the Kurds, criticizing Nêçîrvan Barzanî and the KDP for working under the direction and policies of Turkey.
“The imperialist countries aim to divide the Islamic world into two camps. ISIS emerged as a result of this aim. But ISIS will fail. They will limit ISIS and threaten Iran. Because ISIS has gone out of control; each day dozens of youth join it and it has grown more than expected. It has become a threat against the west. Because now there is a growing fear of ISIS in the Arab world”, said Ehmedî.
Stressing that ISIS works today for Turkey, Ehmedî added that this was revealed by the meeting in Amman. “The meeting in Amman was attended by Turkey, the Ba’athists from Iraq, Sunni Arabs and the KDP on the demand of Turkey. The main agenda of the meeting was to break down the political power of the Kurds. Some forces from South Kurdistan also wish it. They came together around this wish”, said Ehmedî.
Ehmedî further stressed that the KDP is a loyal ally of Turkey, adding that this alliance was behind the attacks of ISIS on Sinjar, although KDP was not aware of the possibility of an attack by ISIS on Hewler (Erbil), which took place with the certain knowledge of Turkey.
Commenting on the words of Nêçîrvan Barzanî who said “Turkey has no relations with ISIS”, Ehmedî said “All the investments of Nêçîrvan are in Turkey, this is why he is afraid.” He pointed out that even the USA secretary of state admits the relations of Turkey with ISIS so that it is impossible that Nêçîrvan Barzanî lacks the information.
Ehmedî added that the KDP does not have the power today that it once had, and today lacks any influence on the Iraqi government. “The PUK has armed forces in Sinjar and Mahkmur. PCDK also wants to establish an armed force. This is the situation in the South. Could the situation be like this, if the KDP had enough power?” said Ehmedî, stressing that there is no need to exaggerate the power of the KDP in the current situation.
Commenting on the attacks of ISIS on Kobanê, Ehmedî stressed that he believes strongly that Kobanê will not fall, recalling the previous massacres of Kurds in Anfal, Dersim, Agiri, etc, adding that no power was capable of annihilating the Kurds. Ehmedî said, however, that Kobanê certainly needs help, stressing that many people around the world had taken to the streets in support of Kobanê.
Ehmedî stressed that he has no fears regarding whether Kobanê will fall or not, but he fears another thing, that is the possibility of the repetition of history if the Kurds let themselves be deceived. Ehmedî said the deception would be to feel content with being granted a small territory delimited by Hewler, Silêmaniye and Duhok and having a “Kurdish state”, just like the Armenians were granted a small territory after the massacre to make them forget about the other parts of the Armenian lands. Ehmedî said the same could be tried on the Kurds as well in order to make them give up the general Kurdistan, adding that the only way to keep the unity of Kurdistan is to build national unity around a national congress.
