Dangerous Audio Leak / Orders to Commit Mass Crimes

We obtained an audio recording attributed to a member of the armed factions affiliated with the Syrian Ministry of Defense. The recording contains direct orders to commit mass crimes against Kurdish civilians in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods of Aleppo. These orders are allegedly issued by the commander Mohammed Jassim Abu Amsha, who was previously sanctioned by Britain within the factions affiliated with the Syrian Ministry of Defense (the de facto authority).

According to the recording, a member relays the orders to another member named "Abu Ahmed" for dissemination to the rest of the group. The instructions, reportedly issued by the terrorist commander Mohammed Jassim Abu Amsha, include:

• Calling for the indiscriminate killing of any person of Kurdish ethnicity.

• Including children, women, and the elderly, regardless of age.

• Carrying out the killing immediately upon arrest. Filming or Documenting

• Confirmation that these orders are direct and explicit from the leadership

“We received an order from Commander Abu Amsha: Any child, any woman, whoever she may be—old man, old woman, young girl, infant—even if she is 6 months old or one day old, as long as she belongs to the Kurdish nation, slaughter them, kill them immediately after you capture them in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh. Don’t film anything, kill them silently, no filming—this is an order from Commander Abu Amsha.”
