Ukrainian local authorities have released updated casualty figures following a new wave of Russian air attacks that began earlier in the day.

According to Oleksandr Hanza, governor of Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces launched a missile strike targeting an industrial area in the city of Kryvyi Rih — the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The attack reportedly struck industrial infrastructure, causing significant damage and resulting in additional civilian casualties. Emergency services were deployed to the scene as rescue and damage assessment operations continued.
Local officials warned that the casualty toll could rise further as crews clear debris and search affected areas.
Kryvyi Rih has remained a frequent target of Russian missile and drone attacks throughout the war due to its strategic and industrial importance.

The Russian military launched a massive missile and drone attack on the Ukrainian capital Kiev and surrounding areas this morning.
The Ukrainian Air Force also announced that the combined attack included ballistic missiles and drones, and some of the projectiles were intercepted by defense. Ukrainian sources reported that Russia used the Oreshnik missile (medium-range ballistic missile) in this operation.
This massive missile and drone attack comes after the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that the number of victims of the Ukrainian attack on a student dormitory in the city of Starobissk in the Luhansk Autonomous Region had increased to 21.
