Brave son of #Ahmad_Shah_Massoud: I am a politician who has no choice but to defend my land

#Ahmad_Massoud, the son of Ahmad Shah Massoud, the national hero of #Afghanistan, announced in an interview that thousands of young Afghans were ready to join the resistance.

"Thousands of our people are ready to take up arms and join the resistance," Ahmad Massoud told Sky News. He cited a shortage of weapons and resources as the movement's main current problem.

The young leader of the Afghan Liberation Front added; We have no choice but to stand up and defend our nation.

He stressed: "We have not attacked anywhere, we have not gone to another region or country to impose our ideas on them." But we have no choice but to defend our home, our region and our country.

Ahmed Massoud added that the war is being imposed on us once again. We want to do something for our people and we have no choice but to resist and defend.

Recently, Amrullah Saleh, the former vice president of Afghanistan, also announced that he would be with Ahmad Massoud in Panjshir to mobilize the people against the Taliban.

"He has not fled Afghanistan and, according to the constitution, is the head of the presidency and will stand up to the Taliban and" will never surrender to this group of terrorists and fight, "he said in an audio message.

Ahmad Massoud, the son of Ahmad Shah Massoud, published an article in the Washington Post urging the United States to provide weapons and ammunition to militants seeking to resist the Taliban.

Ahmad Shah Massoud's son had previously called on Afghans to resist the Taliban in Panjshir after the Taliban came to power.

Ahmad Massoud is in Panjshir with Amrullah Saleh, the first vice president of Ashraf Ghani, the former president of Afghanistan.

Ahmad Shah Massoud's son has warned that Taliban-controlled Afghanistan will become a base for "extremist Islamist terrorism".
