More than two months have passed since #Shakila_Ghasemi, a 26-year-old Baha’i citizen and graphic designer, was arrested in Kerman, and she is still being held in solitary confinement in Kerman’s central prison.
According to informed sources, Ms. Ghasemi, who worked as a helper and educator for children with autism, was arrested on February 13, 1404, when security forces stormed her home. During this operation, officers searched her home and confiscated her and her family members’ electronic devices.
Over this period, no clear information has been provided to her family about the charges, the detaining agency, or the progress of the case. Reports also indicate restrictions on contact with her family and the use of interrogation pressures to extract forced confessions.
The continued solitary confinement and the unclear status of the case have raised concerns about the physical and mental health of this citizen.
