From Iraq to Minnesota… Violence against Iraqi women does not stop at borders.
A story from Minnesota that deserves attention. An Iraqi woman’s life ended after years of alleged domestic violence. Her story must be heard.
We stand today with #Sahar_Ramirez , an Iraqi mother of 4 children who lived in Minnesota, USA, whose death has raised serious concerns regarding domestic violence and the need for justice.
According to her family, Sahar endured years of physical and psychological abuse. There are reported videos, medical records, police reports, and witness accounts documenting the violence she experienced.
After her disappearance, her death was reported as a suicide. Her family rejects the claim that she suffered from mental illness and demands a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
Her family also states that they have not received the forensic report or autopsy results, and that her mother has not been able to see her daughter or complete the burial arrangements.
Iraqi Women for Women Organization calls on the authorities in Minnesota to conduct an urgent, transparent, and independent investigation, review all available evidence, and ensure that Sahar’s family receives their legal rights.
Violence against women is a global issue. The rights of Iraqi women do not end at borders.
We will not remain silent. We demand justice for Sahar.

ئەمڕۆ لەگەڵ #سەحەر_رامیرێز دایکی عێراقی و خاوەن 4 منداڵ وەستاوین کە لە ویلایەتی مینیسوتا لە ئەمریکا ژیاوە، کە مردنەکەی نیگەرانی جددی سەبارەت بە توندوتیژی خێزانی و پێویستی دادپەروەری دروستکردووە.
بە گوتەی بنەماڵەکەی، سەحەر بەرگەی چەندین ساڵ دەستدرێژی جەستەیی و دەروونی گرتووە. ڤیدیۆی ڕاپۆرتکراو، تۆماری پزیشکی، ڕاپۆرتی پۆلیس و گێڕانەوەی شایەتحاڵەکان هەیە کە ئەو توندوتیژییە بەڵگەدارە دەکەن کە ئەو تووشی بووە.
دوای دیارنەمانی، مردنی وەک خۆکوشتن ڕاگەیەندرا. خێزانەکەی ئەو ئیدیعایە ڕەتدەکەنەوە کە گوایە تووشی نەخۆشی دەروونی بووە و داوای لێکۆڵینەوەی تەواو لە بارودۆخی دەوروبەری مردنەکەی دەکەن.
هەروەها خێزانەکەی باس لەوە دەکەن کە ڕاپۆرتی پزیشکی دادوەری یان ئەنجامی پشکنینی جەستەیان وەرنەگرتووە، دایکی نەیتوانیوە کچەکەی ببینێت و ڕێکخستنەکانی ناشتنی تەواو بکات.
ڕێکخراوی ژنان بۆ ژنانی عێراق داوا لە دەسەڵاتدارانی ویلایەتی مینیسوتا دەکات لێکۆڵینەوەیەکی بەپەلە و شەفاف و سەربەخۆ ئەنجام بدەن و پێداچوونەوە بە هەموو بەڵگە بەردەستەکاندا بکەن و دڵنیابن لەوەی خێزانی سەحەر مافە یاساییەکانیان وەردەگرن.
توندوتیژی دژی ژنان پرسێکی جیهانییە. مافی ژنانی عێراق لە سنوورەکاندا کۆتایی نایەت.
بێدەنگ نابین. ئێمە داوای دادپەروەری بۆ سەحەر دەکەین.
