Heavy US airstrikes on targets in Bandar Abbas and Siri Island
Following the Islamic Republic’s ceasefire violations and attacks on three merchant ships on Monday and Tuesday, the US military targeted dozens of targets in the country’s southern cities in the early hours of Wednesday, July 17, 2021. Bandar Abbas was one of the main centers of the attack, and the targets were so close to the city that citizens were able to prepare numerous reports.
CENTCOM, referring to the 80 targets that were hit, announced that “Iranian air defense systems, command and control networks, coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile capabilities, and more than 60 small Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps boats in and around the strait” were targeted by CENTCOM’s attacks.
In response to such US airstrikes, reports indicate that the Islamic Republic has launched missile and drone attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that US forces have targeted more than 80 Iranian military targets using precision-guided munitions in a new round of retaliatory strikes.
In a statement, CENTCOM said the operation was carried out in response to the Iranian regime’s attacks on three merchant ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz and was aimed at imposing a heavy cost on the Iranian regime for attacking commercial vessels carrying civilians in an international waterway.
According to the statement, “air defense systems, command and control centers, coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile capabilities and more than 60 small Revolutionary Guard vessels” in or around the Strait of Hormuz were targeted by US attacks.

بەگوێرەی ئەو بەیاننامەیە، “سیستەمی بەرگری ئاسمانی، ناوەندەکانی فەرماندەیی و کۆنترۆڵ، شوێنەکانی ڕاداری کەنار دەریاکان، توانای مووشەکی دژە کەشتی و زیاتر لە ٦٠ کەشتی بچووکی سوپای پاسداران” لە گەرووی هورمز یان دەوروبەری لەلایەن هێرشەکانی ئەمریکاوە کرانە ئامانج
میدیای ئێران ڤیدیۆی هێرشەکانی بەیانی ئەمڕۆی بۆ سەر پێگەکانی ئەمریکا لە ناوچەکە بڵاوکردەوە.
