 Maryam Aghababaei, a 30-year-old girl from Shahrekord, was taken to Q..tel by an internet taxi driver on Thursday, May 10. The burnt body of the young woman was discovered by a shepherd around the city and identified by her family.
Case details: Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Police announced the rapid arrest of the accused and his confession to Q..tel.
🔹 While rumors of an assault have been raised, the victim's family, citing the investigator, announced that the case is "complicated" and that the accused stated his motive as "theft of gold."
🔹 The family and a group of Shahrekord residents gathered in front of the Shahrekord Public Prosecutor's Office in protest of this heinous crime and demanded an immediate and fair handling of the case. Additional investigations are ongoing to uncover the hidden dimensions of this crime.
