#Narges_Mohammadi going hom from hospital
The Narges Mohammadi Foundation announced that the Nobel Peace Prize winner has been discharged from hospital.
Ms. Mohammadi was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Mousavi Hospital in Zanjan from May 11 to 10, and in the same unit at Pars Hospital in Tehran from May 10 to 17.
On May 10, after 150 days of detention in Mashhad and Zanjan and after 10 days in a hospital in Zanjan, she was transferred by ambulance from Zanjan Medical Center to Pars Hospital in Tehran following intensified international pressure.
According to the Narges Mohammadi Foundation, the human rights activist was “undergoing angioplasty and tests related to severe blood pressure disorders, including the Tilt Test,” at the hospital.
The foundation emphasized that “according to the opinion of specialist doctors, including cardiologists and neurologists, there is a need for special medical care and monitoring, and she will undergo physiotherapy at the hospital at least every day for a month.”
Narges Mohammadi's family says she has suffered from extreme physical weakness due to enduring long periods of imprisonment, totaling more than 10 years and 161 days in solitary confinement, 14 arrests, trauma, and severe psychological, physical, and security pressures. Narges Mohammadi was arrested in December last year at the funeral of Khosrow Alikordi, a lawyer, in the city of Mashhad and then sentenced to prison by the Mashhad Revolutionary Court.
