Pressure is being exerted on the family of Shahrzad Rezaei to compel her to return to Iran. Should she return, she faces the prospect of a death sentence, given her active participation in the "Woman, Life, Freedom" protests.

 

Shahrzad Rezaei, a women’s rights activist and former detainee during the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement, has received a new summons from the Fourth Branch of the Criminal Sentence Enforcement Office in Sanandaj, ordering her to present herself to judicial authorities. Concurrently, her family in Sanandaj is facing pressure—pressure intended to force this civil activist to return to Iran.
In an interview with *Rojman*, Shahrzad Rezaei reported that security-related pressures on her family in Sanandaj are ongoing. These pressures persist even though she was forced to leave Iran following her temporary release from a second period of detention, driven by threats and security-related intimidation.
According to a judicial summons issued on October 6, 2026 (Mehr 14, 1405), the Fourth Branch of the Criminal Sentence Enforcement Office in Sanandaj has ordered Salah-eddin Eskouli to present and surrender Shahrzad Rezaei within 20 days. The summons cites charges including "assembly and collusion to commit crimes against the internal and external security of the country," "membership in groups opposed to the state," and "propaganda against the Islamic Republic system." The document further warns that failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe will result in legal action taken in accordance with applicable regulations. Shahrzad Rezaei was first arrested by security forces in Sanandaj on September 27, 2022 (Mehr 5, 1401), coinciding with the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement protests. She was arrested again on January 10, 2026 (Dey 20, 1404)—in connection with the protests that took place that January—and was released temporarily about a month later upon posting bail.
In a previous interview with *Rojman*, this women's rights activist reported that during her detention, she was denied visitation rights, access to a telephone, and access to a lawyer.
According to Shahrzad Rezaei, a few days after her temporary release—in late February 2026 (late Bahman 1404)—security forces raided her private residence and attempted to arrest her two teenage children. These events, combined with persistent pressure from security agencies, created a difficult situation for her family, ultimately leading to Shahrzad Rezaei’s departure from Iran.
Concurrently with Shahrzad Rezaei’s arrest, her husband, Shaho (Shahriar) Oskouei—a well-known activist in Sanandaj and a former political prisoner—also faced pursuit and pressure from security institutions.

بەپێی ئاگادارییەکی قەزایی کە لە ٤ی خەزەڵوەری ساڵی ١٤٠٥دا دەرچووە، لقی چواری جێبەجێکردنی تاوانەکانی پارێزگای سنە داوای لە سەلاحەدین ئێسکۆلی کردووە کە لە ماوەی ٢٠ ڕۆژدا شەهرزاد ڕەزایی بناسێنێت و ڕادەستی بکات. ئاگادارییەکە تۆمەتەکانی بریتین لە “کۆبوونەوە و هاوکاریکردن بۆ ئەنجامدانی تاوانێک دژی ئاسایشی ناوخۆ و دەرەوەی وڵات”، “ئەندامبوون لە گروپە ئۆپۆزسیۆنەکان” و “پڕوپاگەندە دژی سیستەمی کۆماری ئیسلامی” لەخۆدەگرێت. هەروەها بەڵگەنامەکە هۆشداری دەدات لەوەی ئەگەر لە وادەی دیاریکراودا ڕێوشوێن نەگیرێتەبەر، ئەوا بڕیارێک بەپێی ڕێساکان دەدرێت.
شەهرزاد ڕەزایی بۆ یەکەمجار لە ڕێکەوتی ٥ی خەزەڵوەری ساڵی ١٤٠١ لە کاتی ناڕەزایەتییەکانی بزووتنەوەی “جەنەڕاڵ، ژیان، ئازادی” لە شاری سنە لەلایەن هێزە ئەمنییەکانەوە دەستبەسەر کرا. جارێکی دیکە لە ١٠ی ژانویەی ١٤٠٤ لە پەیوەندی لەگەڵ ناڕەزایەتییەکانی مانگی یەکی هەمان ساڵدا دەستگیرکرایەوە و دوای نزیکەی مانگێک بە کەفالەت بە شێوەیەکی کاتی ئازادکرا.
ئەم چالاکوانە مافی ژنان پێشتر لە گەڵ ڕۆژمان قسەی کردبوو سەبارەت بە بێبەشکردنی لە سەردان و دەستڕاگەیشتن بە تەلەفۆن و دەستڕاگەیشتن بە پارێزەر لە کاتی دەستبەسەرکردنیدا.
بە گوتەی شەهرزاد ڕەزایی، چەند ڕۆژێک دوای ئازادکردنی کاتی، هێزە ئەمنییەکان لە کۆتایی مانگی شوباتی ساڵی ١٤٠٤ هەڵیانکوتایە سەر ماڵەکەی و هەوڵی دەستگیرکردنی دوو منداڵە هەرزەکارەکەی داوە. ئەم ڕووداوانە و بەردەوامی فشارە ئەمنییەکان بنەماڵەکەی خستە هەلومەرجێکی سەخت و دواجار شەهرزاد ڕەزایی لە ئێران دوورکەوتەوە.
هاوکات لەگەڵ دەسبەسەرکردنی شەهرزاد ڕەزایی، هاوسەرەکەی، شاهو (شەهریار) ئۆسکۆیی، چالاکوانی ناسراوی خەڵکی سنە و زیندانی سیاسی پێشوو، هەروەها ڕووبەڕووی چاودێری و گوشاری ناوەندە ئەمنییەکان بووەتەوە.
