 Urgent: Albanian Government on the Brink of Collapse 😮
Protests from France Spread to Albania
Demonstrations in Albania have escalated into a serious political crisis as of October 2026, with protesters demanding the Prime Minister's resignation.

 

 The primary drivers of the unrest include government corruption, economic hardship, and student dissatisfaction with the state of the education system. The protests have continued for six consecutive days—as of Sunday, October 18—and have intensified since Saturday, descending into clashes and violence.

 Thousands of student-led protesters clashed with riot police in Tirana, Albania, for a third consecutive day on October 15, demanding Prime Minister Edi Rama’s resignation. Demonstrations spread to several other cities, while parliament canceled its session as violence erupted nearby.

Protesters threw rocks, smashed windows, and set fires, while police responded with tear gas and water cannons. Across the three days, at least 99 people were reported injured, including 71 police officers, one critically. Police also reported at least 71 protesters arrested.

Students seeking education reforms have joined the broader “Flamingo Movement,” which began in opposition to a luxury coastal development linked to Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law. The protests have grown to include anger over alleged government corruption, rising education costs, and poor job prospects.

Rama rejected calls to resign, saying he was willing to discuss rising education costs while continuing Albania’s efforts to join the European Union. His government denies allegations of corruption. An EU delegation urged dialogue and called on authorities to respond proportionately.'

 

Anti-government protests in Albania have intensified, with demonstrators taking to the streets to express their dissatisfaction with the government and its policies. The spread of these protests has increased the pressure on the Albanian government.

ڕاما داوای دەستلەکارکێشانەوەی ڕەتکردەوە و وتی ئامادەیە باس لە بەرزبوونەوەی تێچووی خوێندن بکات لە هەمان کاتدا بەردەوام بێت لە هەوڵەکانی ئەلبانیا بۆ پەیوەستبوون بە یەکێتی ئەوروپا. حکومەتەکەی تۆمەتەکانی گەندەڵی ڕەتدەکاتەوە. شاندێکی یەکێتیی ئەورووپا داوای گفتوگۆی کرد و داوای لە دەسەڵاتداران کرد کە بە شێوەیەکی ڕێژەیی وەڵام بدەنەوە.

ناڕەزایەتییەکانی دژ بە حکومەت لە ئەلبانیا چڕتر بووەتەوە، خۆپیشاندەران ڕژانە سەر شەقامەکان و ناڕەزایی خۆیان لە حکومەت و سیاسەتەکانی دەربڕی. بڵاوبوونەوەی ئەم ناڕەزایەتیانە فشارەکانی سەر حکومەتی ئەلبانیای زیاتر کردووە.
