Netanyahu vs Erdogan
Israeli leader and Turkish president in 'war of words' over democracy.

Israeli leader, Benjamin Netanyahu responded with a written statement to Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's comments on the recent decision by the Israeli parliament.
Netanyahu basically told Erdogan that his criticism of the great democratic Jewish nation and law while he [Erdogan] is killing Syrians and Kurds and putting thousands of people in jail is in fact a compliment.
Netanyahu said; “While Israel protects all equal rights of citizens before laws, Erdogan-led Turkey is transforming into a dark dicratorship.”
On Thursday, the Israeli parliament adopted a draft law recognizing the state of Israel as "the nation state of the sole Jewish people", thus excluding any other nation and language and culture.
According to this law, only the Jewish people are entitled to self-determination in the state of Israel.
The same law recognizes Hebrew as the official language of Israel, while Arabic only receives "special status".
This decision was condemned by the Arab minority in Israel and labelled as "racist". Arabs represent 17.5 percent of the population in Israel.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who actually follows for his own state the "one nation, one flag, one language and one religion" rule, had said: "This law is the confirmation that Israel is the most Zionist, fascist and racist state in the world".
