Attack on the mainly Kurdish village of Hisen Meme in Khanaqin left two people wounded.


Khanaqin police sources reported that an armed group launched an attack on the mainly Kurdish village of Hisen Meme in Khanaqin district of Diyala province at around 23:30 last night. One villager got wounded as a result of the attack.
According to reports, car bombs were detonated at the entrance of the village as Iraqi federal police headed to the scene, which left one police officer wounded.
No organization has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
