Family going out at night in the Kurdish City of Erbil. The Kurdistan region is very different from the rest of Iraq, people have religious freedom and free politic opinion. Also nobody can force you to wear hijab. Erbil was targeted by ISIL in early august but failed to invade.

Erbil (Hawler) is the largest city and capital of the Kurdistan Region.
Erban life (Hewlêr) can be dated back to at least 9000 BC, and it is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. At the heart of the city is the ancient Citadel of Arbil. In the early part of the 3rd millennium BC. In July 2014 it was appointed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
