 He also stated that the U.S. government is negotiating with the Houthis, noting that meetings between the two sides have taken place in Muscat, Oman, and that progress has been made. 

 

Meanwhile, an Israeli security official specializing in Iranian affairs predicted that the regime would soon collapse or descend into civil war, citing the government's violent treatment of dissidents and protesters—actions likely to trigger an armed conflict and force citizens to take up arms in self-defense, as the people will not remain silent in the face of continued oppression.

 The official further affirmed that Israel would support any form of protest in Iran at any time. Separately, the Strait of Hormuz saw an exchange of fire last night between the U.S. and Iran, with Tehran claiming to have shot down an American drone over the Gulf and the Strait. 

 

Additionally, the Iranian President admitted that the country could withstand the blockade for only two years, after which the regime would inevitably disintegrate.
