Hawler: 33-year-old woman dies because of setting herself ablaze.

In a statement to (Warvin), director of confronting violence against women directorate in Hawler, major (Zhilamo Abdulqadir) said the woman’s name is (Khalida Khalil Ahmad) and she was born in 1980, she set herself ablaze at her house.

“The incident happened on Saturday (May 11, 2013) though the woman was transferred to the hospital but she passed away and police could not interrogate her”.

The cause of setting herself on fire and who made her decide to do that are still unknown.

According to the common norms, if a woman sets herself ablaze and nobody files complaint, and If she could not be interrogated and file complaints against anyone before her death, the incident will be considered as fate and police will close her case.
